Craft in Solidarity with the Mohawk Mothers

Make & wear patches to support the Mohawk Mothers. Let’s make their cause so visible that no one can ignore it!

Time & Location

Nov 15, 2023, 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Arts 260, 853 Rue Sherbrooke O, Montréal, QC H3A 0G5, Canada

About the event

In collaboration with the Nursing Undergraduate Society, Divest, and the Arts Undergraduate Society, the ASA invites you to craft in solidarity with the Mohawk Mothers!

We will be cutting out orange ribbons and purple squares to wear and distribute across campus to recognize our position on Kanien’kehá:ka land and support the Mohawk Mothers’ efforts to protect unmarked Indigenous graves at the Royal Victoria Hospital construction site. We hope this event will be the first of many cross-departmental initiatives to open conversations, spread awareness, and hold our institution to its decolonial commitments.

Please drop by anytime between noon and 3pm and bring your friends and your kindness!

Let’s make the Mohawk Mothers’ cause so visible that no one can ignore it.
